Created for Digital Printmaking (ART344). The materials that were used were two large pieces of paper and five mini LED lights. After I designed the triangle artwork in Adobe Illustrator and it was laser cut, I had to figure out how to drape the paper on the form. To stabilize the skirt on the dress form, I cut a one inch strip off the bottom edge of the paper and made a waistband. The paper was thick and I was curving it in ways that paper usually doesn't move, so nothing would make the skirt and waistband stay together, not even super glue. The only thing that worked was pins, so I had to be very careful about how the pins were placed. I'm very happy with the final product, and am surprised at how much I liked working with rigid paper over flexible fabric.
