Today I found out I was accepted to help build the future at the SFVR/Microsoft Holographic Hackathon in San Francisco on June 17th-June 19th. Teams will have about 48 hours to build a holographic app for the HoloLens. It'll be my second hackathon, but first full weekend hackathon. This is pretty much the coolest thing to happen all year, and I'm stoked to be a part of it.
I've been learning a ton of software programs and programming languages this past year to broaden my skills and try to figure out what the next step in my career path is. Virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality are fascinating to me, and this blog will serve as a visual aid to track the development of my skills in this space. I'm especially interested in how this space can be utilized for education, environmental and social change, and storytelling. The next month will be Unity and holograms 24/7 to prepare for the hackathon. Let the games begin... #HoloHacks
