WebVR 360 Photo Gallery
ROLE
VR UX/UI Designer
PROJECT
It's perplexing as to why 2D planes are such a common UI for displaying 360 videos. So, I built a WebVR photo gallery with A-Frame that better utilizes the 3D and 360 space we have in VR.
Current features include a 360 rotation of the 360 photo on hover and the ability to walk around the gallery to view 360 photos from multiple angles.
This was my first attempt at building a VR experience with A-Frame. I learned that as a designer with basic coding skills, I need to be more realistic when scoping the MVP if it requires a significant amount of coding. Also, I learned that I'm quite good at creative problem solving and hacking together code to make things happen.
